“….For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:48b NKJV
I haven’t blogged in a while. Not because God hasn’t given me anything to write about. In fact, there are a few amazing revelations He’s spoken to me about. And, I’m pretty sure I was supposed to write them. I did write them. But, truthfully, I haven’t made much effort to post them. True story. I went on vacation (a much needed one, I might add), then I came home and hit the ground running with clients and business and ministry. Whatever you’re passionate about will always take precedent in your heart.
I am extremely passionate about helping others in their literary pursuit. I love helping people with their book writing and publishing dreams. I also love being a wife, a mom, and a small group leader. But that’s not all I’ve been given. There are other things God charged me with, in addition to those, like this blog and my faith-based social media page: Winning in Your Mindset. These are the things, however, I let fall by the wayside. To whom much is given, much is required.
Last year, I was asked, “If money wasn’t a factor, what’s the one thing you’d do the rest of your life?” To which, I eagerly replied, “Writing! I want to write.” So, I asked for this, didn’t I? And, God called me to it. Well, when I answered God’s call to become a writer, He added to those plans. His plans were bigger. He gave me a blog, books, a business, and more. I say “more” but I couldn’t even tell you what that entails. Here’s what I know, my friend, the more He gives, the more we are required to be good stewards of those things. What has God given you? What are you believing He wants to give you? And, are you giving Him what is required of you?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for a new day, a new week, and a new opportunity to hit the reset button and examine those things in my life for which I need to be a better steward. Father, I am so grateful for all that You’ve entrusted me with and I thank You for the grace that only You can give. Your grace is sufficient for me and it is only through You that I can complete every God-ordained task. Holy Spirit, give me the wisdom and courage I need to accomplish God’s purpose for my life in excellence. And, I will be so careful to give God all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

What a wonderful reminder! I’m definitely trying to be more intentional about taking every worry and care to God, no matter how seemingly small. I know He cares, and I want every decision I make to be pleasing in his eyes.
